Burn to Memory Proverbs 24:10

2Thes3.13

By Tiffany Deluccia

I sometimes find myself believing in my heart of hearts that if I’m doing well and following God’s lead, that I should experience calm waters. The opposite is often true: The more you seek after God’s heart and His will, the more opposition you will face.

It does no good to pretend this not to be the case. You don’t grow stronger by ignoring the tempest. No, hiding from the fight will only prolong the battle. We must engage. When we feel the pressure, when we’re facing the unexpected, when the difficulty has continued long past what we believe is fair.

We do not faint in the day of adversity so long as we accept that we are in a war and we hold onto the One who will win.

Burn to Memory is our special section focused on Scripture to memorize. Pin it, print it or make it your smartphone wallpaper. Why is memorizing Scripture so important? What’s in your heart comes out at the moments when it is needed. (And if what’s in there isn’t good, it’ll come out even when you don’t want it to!)
