One of my favorite verses from my favorite Psalm.
I highly recommend memorizing all of Psalm 34. Give it a shot. You might surprise yourself, and I can guarantee God will surprise you with the things He will whisper to your heart through it. But, if you’re not up for all 22 verses this week, start with just this one.
If it doesn’t minister to your heart where you are right now, maybe God will use it to make you more aware of the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit around you. That’s what I’m praying for this week. Join me if you will!

Burn to Memory is our special section focused on Scripture to memorize. Pin it, print it or make it your smartphone wallpaper. Why is memorizing Scripture so important? What’s in your heart comes out at the moments when it is needed. (And if what’s in there isn’t good, it’ll come out even when you don’t want it to!)
I’ve been really feeling down this past week. We lost our 23 year old son tragically 2 days before his 24th birthday this past July. He was the center of our family and the holidays have been really emotional. I came across Psalm 34:18 & it touched my broken heart. Thank you & Blessings!
Tammy, I’m so thankful this Psalm touched your heart. I’m praying for you right now, that the Lord would continue to heal in the ways only He can.
